God’s Protection

• Opening prayer: Always open kid’s service with a prayer from your heart. Today ask the lord to protect the kids during service and all of this week. Pray for special situations you already know about. (Remember to personalize this prayer for your kids.)

• Ask kids for prayer request and praise reports: Make sure to not give the kids a drastic response. Each prayer or praise should receive the same amount of emotion. Your prayer request time can become story telling time if you let it…don’t! Even kids can understand this is a special time we can spend with God.
•  
• Sing praises to God: We have used many of the Groups songs and songs from Mary Hopkins Rice. You might find better or different ones of your choice. We have also had a girl lead our Kids Church. This will depend on your situation.

• Bible story: Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego. Danial 3:1-30; make sure to emphasize Daniel 3:18
  "But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."(NIV)

• Game: protect their clothing while they play the game. Have a leader put whip cream on half of the players and instruct the other players to squirt the whipped cream off of their face with a squirt gun. Set a time limit and ask the kids at their seats to vote on the winners.
